With Digital Sports Liability Waivers, You Can Put an End to COVID Rainchecks

I have been amazed at the amount of sports teams that have reached out to WaiverSign to implement a digital signing link to their sports liability waivers for their players. We’ve been contacted by potential clients in nearly every sport: tennis, softball, baseball, swimming, basketball, football, soccer, wrestling, and lacrosse, just to name a few.

These teams are all looking to WaiverSign to help administer online sports waivers to their participants and families—from their specific league waivers to new COVID-19 waivers based on the DHEC rules and regulations in their area.

It's all part of the modifications that have been required due to the pandemic, and it's just the start. A facility in New Jersey even requires teams that practice and play there to get their players to sign a waiver with COVID language each time they take the field. At least one of those teams (a client of ours) has already learned just how helpful making their sports liability releases digital can be.

    WaiverSign Can Help

As you navigate getting your team back to practice and competitions, consider adding WaiverSign as your digital waiver partner. There are so many options and features within WaiverSign's electronic waiver system that supports what teams like yours are trying to accomplish. Unlimited document templates and unlimited storage of signed documents are just the beginning.

For instance, there are several sports teams using the event functionality within WaiverSign and setting up tournaments, including dates, customized tournament names, and a branded digital sports waiver link for players to sign before their tournament.

How you get the link to participants is up to you, and you have no shortage of options. You can, for example, send it in a confirmation email, post it on your website, or even link waivers to QR codes to have participants sign on location with their own mobile devices. Players and their parents can sign on their phones, tablets, or any internet-connected computer, making it super easy to sign on the fly if needed.

It's been a tough spring and summer and so many youth and adult athletes have been put on hold with their respective sports. It truly makes me happy to talk to coaches and team managers as sports begin to open up in states across the country. Coaches especially are loving WaiverSign because they can see who has signed and who hasn’t, ensuring that all waivers are signed before the event.

If we can help your team, please reach out; we would love to help you get organized and back on the field (or on the court, or on the mat, or in the pool, or wherever you compete), back to enjoying the camaraderie of team spirit, and back to the sport you love.

    Paperless. Contactless. Hassle-less. That’s WaiverSign.
