Save more time with an electronic waiver

WaiverSign recently started working with Siltop Visions which is a large tract of land in Pennsylvania that people recreationally use for hiking, biking and ATV use. Owner, Paul Silvis, turned to WaiverSign to help him make the process easier for the pass holders using the land to electronic waiver. We asked Paul to describe his experience with WaiverSign so far. His experience with WaiverSign has not only saved him money with buying and filing paper, but also has saved him time, so that he can get out and enjoy the property he loves as well.

Process before implementing an electronic waiver

“I bought a large tract of land where locals had previously hunted and rode ATVs. I knew I could not keep them off the property so I met with my attorney and developed a liability waiver that everyone entering the property had to sign. Then I hired the retired local Chief of Police to patrol the property and started charging an annual membership fee. Membership grew to over 1,500 pass holders and the boxes of signed waivers grew unmanageably.”

“Some members did not renew and new members joined each year creating dozens of paper waivers per week. Many of the pass holders did not have a computer or printer to print or scan signed PDF waivers to me. One day as I was “accepting” the agreement for a software update I thought, “I wonder if anyone has an electronic waiver system for liability waivers?”

"I created a Weebly website and used Square for payments, but I still needed an electronic waiver solution for the liability release waivers. I searched around and found WaiverSign worked best for my business because pass holders did not meet me in person and all business was transacted over the website.”

Why Paul loves his electronic waiver

“The key to selling me on WaiverSign was Kate Tucker. She converted my PDF waivers to WaiverSign format and she coached me on how to use the embedded data fields. Waivers were simple to import and edit. My attorney reviewed the electronic waiver system and gave it his blessing. I tested it with some of the pass holders and I was shocked how quickly they caught on. Since January 1, 2020 I have not had to touch a paper pdf and struggle to read illegible handwriting. My wife used to be my waiver filing secretary and she is elated to be paper free. It used to take me a week to enroll pass holders and now the same work can be done in a day. I absolutely LOVE Waiver Sign! At ten dollars a month, it is a very cost effective electronic waiver solution.”
